Ashley has over 19 years of experience teaching Art classes through Community Education programs, and in the last 6 years has been operating her own mobile art studio, Creative Studio 23. She has always found art (& horses!) to be therapeutic and have long lasting, positive impacts on her students. For the 2025 year, Misty's Mission Stables will be hosting Art classes in the barn!
She is also on track to graduate from Augsburg University with her Masters in Art Education in the Fall of 2025!

Mom & Daughter Art in the Barn Class 5/11 at Misty's Mission Stables

Join us Sunday, May 11th from 12PM-2PM for a Mother & Daughter Art in the Barn class!
Choose one of our 8 beautiful horses to create your own horse portrait painting with us! References for your portrait for a horse will be provided. We will then be painting with acrylics on canvas. No painting experience necessary!
Minimum age of children is 5 to paint in this class with an adult.
All painting supplies will be provided.
Cost is $60 / pair. To add an additional painter the cost is $30/.
Other information:
- This class will be held inside our horse barn! Please dress accordingly to be messy! There will be opportunties to meet our horses, but this is not a riding class.
- This class runs rain or shine.
- This class is taught by Ashley Messer, owner of Creative Studio 23, with 19 years of Art Education experience.
- All Art in the Barn classes are perfect for beginner artists (young or old!) and everyone receives step-by-step instructions.
